New Relic, a San Francisco-based company that builds software and app monitoring software, filed for a $100 million initial public offering on Monday.

New Relic, which has a large R&D office in Portland and a smaller engineering outpost in Seattle, will trade under the symbol NEWR, with Morgan Stanley & Co., J.P. Morgan Securities, Allen & Co., and UBS Securities LLC underwriting the IPO.

The seven-year-old company also posted its revenue numbers for the first time, noting a loss of $39.4 million on revenue of $63.2 million for the fiscal year ending March 31.

New Relic has raised $215 million since 2007 and helps customers understand how users are interacting with their software in real time, providing data related to user click streams, mobile activity, end user experiences, transactions, and more.
