The New Jersey Multiple Listing Service has joined Zillow’s partnership program, allowing MLS data on home listings to be sent directly to Zillow each 15 minutes.

“Thanks to NJMLS’s decision to partner with Zillow, shoppers using Zillow for their home search will get a more comprehensive view of available inventory, while home sellers can rest assured their homes are being marketed to the largest audience of home shoppers,” said Curt Beardsley, Zillow vice president of industry development.

Fresh listing information is important for Zillow as it ensures a more user-friendly experience for the more than 80 million unique visitors who visit its Web site and mobile apps each month. Zillow also faces scrutiny from some MLSes which have expressed concern about the company’s growing power in the online real estate business.
