Microsoft’s Surface team just sent out invitations to press for a private event on May 20 in New York City.
“Join us for a small gathering,” the invite reads.
Many on Twitter are speculating that a “small gathering,” refers to a possible announcement about a smaller version of Microsoft’s Surface tablet. The company has been widely reported to be working on a “Surface Mini” for more than a year, but the company has yet to acknowledge the plans publicly.
That could finally change later this month. The event starts at 8 a.m. PST on May 20.
