LoopFuse, which uses machine learning to identify demand signals on social media channels, has been acquired in a deal of undisclosed size by Atlanta-based Salesfusion. Led by former Gist executive Robert Pease, LoopFuse maintained operations in both Seattle and Atlanta.

In an email, Pease said called the deal a “great outcome for everyone.” LoopFuse merged with Atlanta-based Nearstream in Dec. 2012.  Both Pease and CTO Bradley Young, formerly of Meteor Solutions and MessageGate, plan to stay with Salesfusion in executive roles. The LoopFuse development team is in Seattle, while sales and marketing is in Atlanta.

“The marketing technology space is moving really fast and this presented an opportunity to join up with a great team and scale faster,” said Pease.

Earlier this month, Salesfusion raised $8.25 million, and the company said it plans to triple its sales and customers by the end of this year.

“Marketers are asking for a solution that is smart and intuitive. A solution that helps them reduce the friction between marketing and sales and deliver bottom line results like never before. We are now one step closer to achieving that goal,” said Christian Nahas, CEO of Salesfusion.

LoopFuse was backed with $1.7 million from True Ventures.
