SAN FRANCISCO – Microsoft is slated to unveil its plans for Windows this morning, with a big focus on enterprise customers, and the announcement should be a big one.
Today’s event is expected to be the reveal for the next version of Windows, codenamed Threshold. The new version is supposed to come with a number of interesting features, including the return of the Start menu, and a version of Microsoft’s virtual assistant Cortana that will run on users’ desktops.
Microsoft executives Terry Myerson and Joe Belfiore will be on hand at 10 a.m. to walk everyone through whatever the company has in store, and GeekWire will be there to cover it.
