Rumors have been flowing for the past several months about the Amazon’s reported smartphone, but new leaked photos posted by Boy Genius Report provide more concrete evidence of what Amazon has in store for its first smartphone.

amazonlogo11BGR’s photos feature a black enclosure around the device to keep the public from seeing the physical design, but there are still some interesting aspects visible.

The smartphone features five front-facing cameras, four of which will reportedly be used to allow users to see 3D effects without any headgear. The four cameras are low-power infrared sensors, BGR noted, and will be able to track your head movements. The idea is to make wallpapers, app icons and even products in Amazon stores become three-dimensional.

The Wall Street Journal last week reported the 3D-capabilities of the smartphone, which will reportedly be announced in June and begin shipping in September.

Other features of the phone include a 4.7-inch display, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2GB of RAM. BGR added that Amazon plans to release a lower-end smartphone later this year as well.
