uberxOne unique part about companies like Uber and Lyft is the ability for riders to rate their drivers, and vice versa. The transparent grading system helps the startups monitor driver performance, while also giving passengers a way to provide feedback on their experience.

But while Uber and Lyft riders can see driver ratings, it’s not possible to see your own personal passenger rating — only drivers can see your ratings when you request a ride.

However, an NYC-based software engineer has figured out how to access that information. Aaron Landy, a software engineer from New York City, penned this post on Medium detailing how to find your rating.

Here are the steps:

  1. Go to https://m.uber.com and log in.
  2. Open console (CMD + option + j on Chrome)
  3. Paste this Javascript code from Landy’s post into your console, hit enter:
  4. The first time you paste code, your browser will reload. Keep the console open and once the page loads again, paste code again, hit enter. If you are successful, popup below will appear.

I’ve taken Uber a handful of times, and it looks like I’m not a bad customer at 4.7 out of 5 stars. That’s the same rating as what Uber drivers are expected to maintain.

According to Landy’s post, Uber is trying to fix this hack, so check out what your rating is before it’s too late.

Update, 11:10 p.m. PT: Looks like some people, including me, are having trouble seeing their ratings now. If you really want to know your rating, you can always ask your driver.
