It’s been 30 years since Apple launched the original Macintosh in 1984, and now it’s time to blow out the candles.

The company launched a new website looking back on the three decades of computers it has produced, featuring a video with interviews of famous Mac users, including Moby, Hans Zimmer and artist April Greiman. Here’s what they had to say about the Mac:

Apple compiled the profiles of a number of Mac-using luminaries, including Washington state’s own Robyn and Rand Miller, who created Myst, into an interactive timeline looking at both the Mac’s evolution from 1984 on, as well as what people have managed to do with their Macs over the past 30 years.

In addition, Apple is looking to gather the stories of users’ first Macs. The process is pretty simple: a user finds their first Mac, selects where they were when they got it, and what they did with it. That data is compiled into a timeline that shows what people said they were doing with their Mac in a given year. Unsurprisingly, the “Internet and Email” category has swelled to dwarf everything else people are doing with their computers.

In addition, Apple CEO Tim Cook will be taking to the airwaves tonight in an interview with ABC’s David Muir, alongside Senior Vice President of Software Engineering Craig Federighi and Vice President of Software Technology Bud Tribble. The piece will air on “World News with Diane Sawyer” tonight, and will encompass Apple’s strategy, as well as Cook’s thoughts on the NSA’s surveillance practices. Here’s a preview that aired on Good Morning America:
