Seattle-based Glympse today announced a new partnership with Mojio to enable its location technology in Mojio’s on-board diagnostics devices and apps for connected cars. Mojio, a Vancouver, B.C.-based company, makes a cloud-based device that plugs into a diagnostics port and turns any vehicle into a connected car. The Mojio app provides information related to mechanic issues, gas mileage, and now thanks to Glympse, location.
This is the first time an on-board device connected car solution has enabled Glympse’s location sharing feature. In June, Glympse raised $12 million to push total funding up to $19.5 million for the six-year-old startup.
