First conceived at a Startup Weekend event in Seattle three years ago by venture capitalist Greg Gottesman, Rover.com has grown fast in recent years, raising nearly $25 million in venture capital to date. Developers at the startup work with tools including Python/Django, HTML/CSS/JS (SCSS, jQuery, Backbone), Github AWS and Jenkins for CI.

Buuteeq won the “Perk of the Year” GeekWire Award for the $2,500 travel stipend that it gives employees every year, allowing them to travel to visit customers and experience the culture in the place where the company’s technologies are used.
