The world’s largest Hackathon series is coming to Seattle this weekend. AngelHack’s goal is “to build a stronger developer ecosystem around the world” — GW calendar logoand with installments in over 30 cities and 6,000+ developers participating, it has the potential to do just that.

The team that wins the hackathon on Saturday and Sunday will gain acceptance into the Spring 2014 HACKcelerator program — which offers full support to develop the team’s project into a market-ready product. Register as a developer, designer, business, or volunteer here.

The event, which will take place at WeWork in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood, offers food, giveaways, mentorship, and post-event parties.

It’s a big weekend for startup events in Seattle. In addition to AngelHack, startup accelerator 9MileLabs and Startup Weekend are teaming up on one of the first business-to-business Startup Weekend events in the world, starting today and running through Sunday.

The event starts with 9Mile Labs Demo Day before transitioning to a B2B-oriented Startup Weekend. The weekend will include networking events, startup pitches, business model creation, coding, and market validation, culminating in a series of presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders.

Code Carrots Seattle

Want to learn to code or brush up on your existing skills? Check out Code Carrots’ free coding workshop next Tuesday. The weekly meetings are an informal opportunity for coders of all levels to connect with mentors, have questions answered, and work on individual or assigned projects.

Tuesday marks the start of the 12th annual Future in Review (FiRe) conference — a three-day summit focused on the intersection of technology and the economy. FiRE will feature private receptions, networking meals, film screenings, and panels led by thought leaders in technology and economics.
