What does Frozen‘s Elsa have in common with Game of Thrones Daenerys Targaryen? Yes, they’re both pretty blondes, but these two are part of the most-pirated TV shows and films from the past year.

TorrentFreak unleashed its most-pirated TV shows from the year, and HBO’s bloody, gory thrillfest made it to the top: “With more than 8 million downloads via BitTorrent, the 2014 season finale is way ahead of the competition,” reports the site. They add that it also broke an all-time piracy record, with more than a quarter million users sharing the same torrent file earlier this year.

Apparently, gore is in, because AMC’s The Walking Dead came in second, with about 4.2 million downloads. And nerds still rule: The Big Bang Theory is third, with 3.6 million downloads.

In film, decadent romp The Wolf of Wall Street (seriously, that thing could’ve easily lost 45 minutes and not missed a point) and Frozen were the top two most pirated, each clocking in around 30 million downloads. Gravity came in third, also with a little over 29 million downloads.

“Overall there is no sign that TV-show piracy is declining,” TorrentFreak concludes about the results. “On the contrary, the download numbers for the most popular shows continues to rise, sometimes exceeding the number of traditional viewers in the US.”
