Tesla’s Elon Musk has caused a little Internet buzz with this tweet:
Musk then posted that this new snake technology can be used with “all existing Model S cars,” not just new ones.
Tesla hasn’t released exactly how it will work or what the robotic snakes will look like, but Gizmodo has some insights about how existing technology might influence the Tesla version. Behold, the YouTube video below of the OC Robotics’ Series II – X125 system snakebot. They also point out that Carnegie Mellon researchers have been working on this idea “for years.”
The only thing Tesla needs now is a campaign starring Samuel L. Jackson.
