Pictures of an apparent Amazon game controller have been revealed in a filing with Brazil’s telecommunications agency, providing new clues about the Seattle company’s reported plans for moving into the living room with its own streaming media device and game console.

The controller, pictures of which were published by Dave Zatz this morning, features Android navigation buttons in addition to media controls, dual joysticks, a directional pad and traditional ABXY game buttons. As noted by readers of Engadget, the button in the middle of the controller bears a striking resemblance to Amazon’s GameCircle logo.

Why Brazil? Amazon is reportedly contracting with Foxconn to build the device there. As shown in the pictures, the Amazon controller has a matte finish that seems to give it more of a low-budget feel, but the general layout is drawing comparisons to Microsoft’s Xbox One controller.

A report this week by GigaOM said the Amazon set-top box would offer not only Amazon’s Instant Video service but also rival streaming services Netflix and Hulu Plus. No word on timing of the device. We’ve contacted Amazon this morning for comment on these pictures.
