One of the things Zillow’s 63 million monthly users are clamoring for is the ability to better evaluate the schools their kids might be going to when they move into a particular neighborhood.
“Two of the most important things home buyers tell us they look for in a new home is affordability within their price range, and quality of schools for their children – often with specific schools in mind,” Zillow Chief Marketing Officer Amy Bohutinsky said in a press release.
To better assist those people, Zillow announced today the ability to search an area, like the neighborhood you’d like to find a home in, for highly-ranked schools. If you have kids of different ages, it’s possible to run one search for elementary, middle and/or high schools.
Data for the feature is provided by GreatSchools, a website that calculates rankings for schools all over the country. Last fall, Redfin unveiled a similar service to help people find homes in certain school districts.
