In this week’s Next Big Thing, I speak with Jane Park, the CEO and Founder of Julep, which is a Seattle-based startup that has grown to become a national e-commerce powerhouse.

Park tells me about how important it is to connect with their community through social innovations to keep a company relevant and easy to market. She also let me in on something secret that Julep is working on.

Julep is funded by Maveron, Howard Schultz’s venture capital firm, and Andreessen Horowitz, a heavy-hitter in Silicon Valley. It also gets support from several celebrity investors like Jay Z and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith.
