klipschUpdated below with answer and winner.

At the GeekWire Awards this past week, we immersed attendees in the world of retro video games with golden Atari 2600 trophies, an 8-Bit gaming lounge created by sponsor Filter, and the “Adventure of the Startup Kid” video by Killer Infographics, envisioning the Seattle startup scene as a classic game.

And we’re continuing the theme with this week’s Name that Tech Tune contest. The challenge this week is to identify a retro game console based solely on the startup sound. Up for grabs is a pair of premium Klipsch S4A headphones, courtesy of HearIt, our guests on the GeekWire radio show this week.

If you think you know the correct answer, send it to contest@geekwire.com. We’ll pick one person at random from the pool of correct answers to win the headphones.

OK, here’s the clip!

Name that Tech Tune is a regular feature of the GeekWire radio show, which airs on KIRO Radio in Seattle (97.3 FM) at 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. every Saturday. The show runs every weekend on GeekWire.com.  Also search for the show on Stitcher.

For a little more context, here’s the full Name that Tech Tune segment from this week’s show.

If you think you know the answer, send it to contest@geekwire.com. We’ll reveal the answer and announce the winner next week. Thanks for playing!

Update, 5/17: The answer: Sega Saturn. Congrats to our winner, Albert Wong, who writes, “Sega Saturn is one of my favorite old school consoles because of the Darkstalkers games by Capcom so it was distinctive for me.”
