Well, for a soccer-loving geek who lives in Seattle, it doesn’t get much better than this. More than 400 of the GeekWire faithful poured out for the first-ever Sounders Day, hosted on the fabulous rooftop deck of EMC/Isilon.
Oh, yeah, this was pretty sweet: Rooftop deck + Sounders + Beer + Geeks = Awesome! It was fun hanging with geek-in-the-making Brad Evans of the Seattle Sounders (out with a calf injury for Wednesday’s match) and Sounders FC general manager Adrian Hanauer who shared insights about the cross over between the tech community and the Sounders. It was also fun to see so many of you showing off your geek and Sounders pride.
A big thanks to our great partners at EMC/Isilon who co-hosted this event with us. Also, thanks to Isilon co-founder Sujal Patel and Zillow co-founder Rich Barton who opened up their suites for some of Super Geek members and other guests.
