sonyps4unboxingIn “The Official PS4 Unboxing Video,” Sony parodies the video for Daft Punk’s unboxing of its most recent album, Random Access Memories.

Complete with a nearly-identical dark underground sci-fi control room, flashing lights and another mystery man (Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida), the advertisement parodies Daft Punk’s video for a creative spin on your ordinary unboxing video.

It’s worth noting that Daft Punk is under Columbia Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment — so no copyright infringements at play here.
