Trulia’s Pete Flint
Zillow’s Spencer Rascoff

Well, here’s yet another interesting way that the Zillow-Trulia rivalry is playing out — beyond their courtroom battles. Both CEOs of the publicly-traded online real estate companies have been named to the Forbes list of “Most Powerful CEOs 40 and Under.”

Zillow CEO Spencer Rascoff, 37, was named the 13th most powerful young CEO. Trulia CEO Pete Flint ranked 18th.

Both companies have been performing well recently, especially after posting strong earnings reports this week. Zillow is up nearly 20 percent in the past five days, and its stock is trading at more than double the $20 IPO price. Trulia is up 31 percent in the past five days, trading at $32.81.

To qualify for the list, executives had to be a CEO leading a publicly-traded company, and 40 or younger.

Some well-known names from tech led the list, including Google CEO Larry Page; Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer (the only woman on the list); and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg (the youngest on the list at 28). Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank, 40, and Groupon CEO Andrew Mason, 32, rounded out the top five.
