Oh, man. My 22-year-old self just watched the new Microsoft advertisement above and the nostalgia is flowing like a Capri Sun.

Everything kids in the 90s grew up with — The Oregon Trail, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Super Soakers — are all featured in a clever new advertisement that hopes convince people to use Internet Explorer again, much like many have before jumping ship to Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

The tagline: “You grew up. So did we. Reconnect with the new Internet Explorer.”

“Internet Explorer is a child of the 90s, but we have done some serious growing up,” this Windows blog post reads. “Maybe IE was your first browser, but you haven’t used it in a while. We aren’t sure if pogs or trolls will make a comeback as well, but we do know a lot has changed with Internet Explorer.”

Not sure if this ad, which is part of Microsoft’s “Browser You Love to Hate” campaign, really makes me want to download IE10. But just for old times sake, I might eat a Lunchable for dinner tonight while playing the Oregon Trail.

IE10 is pretty great overall; on a tablet, it’s an exceptional browsing experience.

I don’t know what people are on about, IE wasn’t that great before but there have been alot of improvements and I think its the fastest browser now.

I know this is about IE, and I’m an Opera User, but as far as the gaming experience goes I just go to the closet and take out the Commodore 64. It sits on it’s own desk for a few months until my game needs are fulfilled and then gets put away again. There’s been many PCs running windows and a couple with linux, not to mention one Mac. But nothing comes even close to that dear old Commodore. Damn, is that a tear in my eye?
