President Barack Obama made moves on the social media front today. From the official inauguration Twitter account, his office Tweeted out its second official inauguration playlist.

The 16-track Spotify playlist features an eclectic assortment of tunes from all the musicians playing in D.C. during inauguration events that kick off Saturday. They include titles by the Glee Cast and Brad Paisley, as well as Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours),” and Beyoncé’s “I was Here.”

But Obama wasn’t the only one using Twitter in the White House today — tech savviness runs in the family.

The First Lady debuted her new Twitter account today — @FLOTUS — in celebration of her 49th birthday. The new account will function similarly to her old account where the initials “-mo” indicate she’s the one Tweeting.

Ms. Obama’s office sent out her first Tweet this morning at 8:35 a.m., encouraging followers to wish the first lady a happy birthday. Within two hours of the first post, Ms. Obama attracted more than 15,000 followers.

If you’re one of the brave souls making the long trek from this Washington to the other Washington for Monday’s inauguration, here’s an app developed by Seattle-based Taqtile that will help keep track of all the events.
