Follow-up: Google apologizes for Gmail delay, pledges to improve network capacity
Original story:
Looks like Google has a case of the Monday’s.
Gmail users — including some of us here at GeekWire — are experiencing significant delays this morning. Google confirmed the errors via its App Status page today, first noting the issue at 7:25 A.M. PST.
At about 8:45 A.M PST, Google said the delay of messages and problems with downloading attachments was affecting less than 0.024 percent of the Gmail user base. That number spiked to less than 50 percent at 11:05 A.M. PST.
By noon, Google said that Gmail “has already been restored for some users, and we expect a resolution for all users within the next 1 hours.”
On Twitter, lots of people are confused, angry and frustrated, or in some cases, happy.
if gmail isn't working, are we even working?

OK, if Gmail being down is supposed to prove that I’m something of an connection addict, then OK FINE, CAN I HAVE MY EMAIL BACK NOW??

I know I'm supposed to be upset by the Gmail outage, but I confess that I am actually kind of enjoying it. I wish it would go down more.

We’ll update this story as we hear more from Google.
Update, 1:50 P.M. — About an hour ago, Google said that a resolution is expected for all users within three hours.
