xboxonemsftstoreAmazon isn’t the only Seattle-area tech giant producing its own TV shows.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Microsoft Studios VP Phil Spencer said that the company is tossing around “literally hundreds of ideas” for TV shows on the Xbox One console, set to hit shelves Nov. 22.

Microsoft has high hopes for entertainment content on the new Xbox, including a live-action Halo television series created in partnership with Steven Spielberg announced at the Xbox One unveiling in May.

Meanwhile, Amazon is already producing five of its own original comedy shows that will be available later this year.

Spencer also told Bloomberg that there will be a heavy focus on sports content for the Xbox One, particularly with international sports. We’ve already seen Microsoft making moves in this arena in the past few months.
