EveryMove wants to help people get healthy and is hoping that three well-known Seattleites will help drive interest to its fitness-focused platform.

EveryMove, a Seattle-area startup that lets users track their healthy habits and rewards them with gift cards and reduced health-care premiums, is putting on a 2013 Resolution Team Challenge to encourage team-based healthy initiatives. You might know three of the people forming teams: Seattle mayor Mike McGinn, Cheezburger CEO Ben Huh and former Bachelor Jason Mesnick.

“Their participation reinforces that physical activity is an important ingredient for health at any time but especially heading into a New Year full of opportunity and potential,” CEO Russell Benaroya said in a press release.

Teams can enroll up to 10 friends who encourage one another to stick to their health-oriented New Years resolutions and earn points for doing so. Those points can be used for a cool exercise device like the FitBit Zip.

We had Benaroya tell us all about his company on our podcast last month. You can read the transcript of the interview or listen to the recording here.
