Xbox Live is adding a load of content in the coming days, from a season of NBA star LeBron James’ animated series to a Machinima app.
Online video network Machinima, which currently hosting a ‘Portal’-themed live action web series, is the first app to launch worldwide on Xbox and offers everything from narratives like “Mortal Kombat: Legacy,” and “Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, ” to live streams, gameplay videos and other original content.
Meanwhile, two months after Microsoft inked a deal to stream the second season of James’ animated series “The LeBrons” on Xbox Live and MSN.com, the show will kick off May 10. The LeBrons features four characters that all represent an aspect of James’ personality and is designed to promote positive life messages. During its inaugural season in 2011, “The LeBrons” received over 50 million episode views on YouTube.
Finally, the fifth annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards Show will be streamed on Xbox Live this Thursday for all the hard rock and heavy metal fans out there.
Xbox Live has recently been pouring tons of entertainment content to Live, and it goes along with Microsoft’s strategy to go after more entertainment content and turn the Xbox into the centerpiece of the living room.
