inrixINRIX is continuing to zoom ahead with the addition of a new chief revenue officer. The Kirkland company, which provides traffic information to automotive companies and device makers, said today that it has hired former Nokia exec Rafay Khan to lead sales and business development efforts in markets such as automotive, public sector, media and analytics.

“Rafay knows the industry and our business inside and out. I’m confident he’ll make an immediate impact leading the sales team’s efforts across our company,” said Bryan Mistele, INRIX President and CEO.

Khan was a vice president at Nokia leading expansion of the company’s NAVTEQ business in Asia. He also previously worked at DaimlerChrysler and Altair.

The hiring of Khan comes amid chatter that INRIX is positioning for a potential IPO. The company hired former Coinstar exec Saul Gates as CFO last December.
