binghalloweenIf you’re looking to procrastinate at work for 15 minutes right about now, I’ve got a really good solution: Google.com or Bing.com.

googlehalloween
Google’s Halloween homepage features a witch and her cauldron.

In celebration of Halloween, the search engines have unleashed their creative juices with spooky themes — well, one is certainly more frightening than the other.

Google, which always seems to have a fun way to celebrate historic days or people, lets you throw a couple ingredients into a witch’s cauldron to play set of semi-entertaining mini-games.

But Bing takes it up another notch, paying homage to six classic horror movies — Friday the 13th Part II (1981); Psycho (1960); Poltergeist (1982); The Shining (1980); Halloween (1978); and The Amityville Horror (1979) — with a scene or character from each flick hiding somewhere in a dark, scary living room. It’s up to you to find out where each is hiding, and once you click, it will trigger visual and sound effects.

I’m giving the edge to Bing here — which is your favorite?
