Ford Sync Glympse33Seattle startup Glympse announced a key milestone this morning, touting that it now has more than 10 million people using the real-time location sharing application. The company, which is backed by Ignition Partners and Menlo Ventures, also announced a big international expansion with versions of the service for languages such as Chinese, German, Japanese and Spanish.

Glympse said that 40 percent of users already reside outside the U.S., and the new localization effort will help the company attract even more users. Glympse is available on Android, iOS, Windows Phone and BlackBerry.

“Localized versions of Glympse are one of the most requested features by our fans outside the US. We’ve been working hard to implement and support those languages to better serve these users. We’re now enabling millions of users to engage with Glympse in their native dialect,” said Bryan Trussel, co-founder and CEO of Glympse. “These four languages are just the beginning, and we are excited to expand our services to encompass our increasingly global user-base.”
