OK, folks, we’re gearing up for one of our favorite meetups of the year. Back by popular demand, it’s GeekWire Game Night!
That’s right. On July 10th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., we’ll be taking over the Spitfire bar in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood for some intense casino and board game action.
Of course, we’ll once again crown a “Lord of Catan” as serious Settlers of Catan fanatics take over the bar’s north terrace to trade wheat, ore, sheep, brick and wood. (Dorky, yes. But, trust me, it’s fun!)
This year, we’re also excited to partner with the fun crew over at DoubleDown Interactive. They are going to transform the back room of the Spitfire into an awesome Vegas-style casino, complete with roulette wheels and Black Jack tables.
Test your luck, and you might just walk away with some awesome prizes. (I mean really awesome prizes!!)
Of course, this is a Meetup first and foremost. So, if you don’t want to try your hand at any of the games, just make sure to join the GeekWire community for some good food, drink and conversation.
Speaking of which, TeachStreet founder Dave Schappell will be back in Seattle from his worldwide tours with Amazon Web Services. Dave is so excited to be back that he’s going to buy the first round of drinks (so get there early). He’ll also be handing out $100 credits to AWS to the first 100 people who say “Hi Dave!”
Join us on July 10th, and get your competitive juices flowing. We’ve got limited capacity for this one, so make sure to get your tickets today before we sell out! Plus, early-bird tickets end Friday, so don’t delay!
