— Simon Singh ‘The Simpsons and their Mathematical Secrets: Alright, I’m intrigued. What kind of “mathematical secrets” could the Simpsons possibly hold? Before you scoff, consider that all of the shows lead writers have advanced science degrees. Apparently the show is chalk full of interesting numerical references and Singh wants to share them with you.

— Big Data/Big World/Big Ideas: Global Health and Data-Enabled Life Sciences: This event certainly is about BIG. Come listen to speakers address real world health issues, offer ideas for relief and open the discussion up. This is how problems get solved.
