dwellablenew123Urbanspoon co-founder Adam Doppelt is liking the way business is going at his Seattle upstart Dwellable.

“Things are hopping,” Doppelt told us.

It certainly seems that way. Dwellable, a mobile app for vacation rentals, just announced a new partnership and a big new update to its app.

The update brings a fresh look and “a luxurious feel,” as Doppelt puts it. The app adds more calendar functionality and is now focused on search instead of browsing.

“Now that we’ve grown to so many rentals, search is the best
way to guide a traveler to the right ones,” Doppelt said.

dwellablenew1234Six months ago when we wrote about Dwellable releasing its Android app, the company had 50,000 rentals. Now they’re up to 80,000, and there are ten times as many rental inquiries per day compared to last September.

Part of the surge in listings is thanks to a new partnership with TripAdvisor-owned FlipKey. Dwellable is also taking advantage of the rise in mobile, as 35 percent of rental inquiries (when a traveler uses Dwellable to send an email to a property owner) come from mobile devices.

Dwellable was founded by Doppelt, former NBA digital executive Brenda Spoonemore and Snapvine co-founder Nathan Kriege.
