ConcurConcur is continuing to place bets in startup companies. The latest deal comes today as the Bellevue maker of travel and entertainment expense management software announced a strategic investment in San Francisco-based Visage Mobile, a startup company that’s riding the BYOD (bring your own device) trend.

“Our ongoing strategic partnership and new investment in Visage provide Concur customers with more mission-critical tools to address mobility cost management, data and analytics,” said John Torrey, Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy at Concur.  “We are committed to driving the innovation agenda for the travel industry and smart, entrepreneurial companies like Visage are helping to shape the future of business travel.”

Last year, Concur formed the $150 million Perfect Trip Fund for emerging travel-oriented startups. This year, at its developer conference in San Francisco, taking place on Oct. 2, Concur plans to award $100,000 in innovation awards.

Visage last year raised a series C round from Motorola Solutions, Palisades Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures and Worldview Technology Partners. The company has developed technologies that help companies organize data about mobile users, spending and devices.
