Here’s your chance to help guide the City of Seattle’s strategies and investments in technology and telecommunications.
The City is looking for volunteers to join the Citizens’ Telecommunications and Technology Advisory Board (CTTAB). The ten-member board and its committees discuss and advise the Mayor and City Council on a multitude of issues, including broadband deployment and adoption, mobile and web based services for Seattle.gov, social media, open data, online public engagement, the Seattle Channel, cable TV franchise agreements and Technology Matching Fund grants.
“There has never been a more exciting time to engage with the City around technology issues,” Erin Devoto, Director of the Department of Information Technology, said in a press release. “We are eager to work with the diverse people who drive technology innovation in our region.”
There are two positions open on the Board, as well as opportunities to participate in project committees. CTTAB meets the second Tuesday of every month from 6-to-8 p.m. in room 2750 of Seattle Municipal Tower.
To sit on the board, you must be a City of Seattle resident or work in Seattle. Women, persons with disabilities, sexual and gender minorities, young persons, senior citizens, persons of color, and immigrants are encouraged to apply.
