Want to play with a kitten for 20 minutes today? Well, Cheezburger and Uber have you covered.

cheez-money1In celebration of National Cat Day, Seattle-based humor site Cheezburger has teamed up with the ride-sharing startup to deliver kittens to your doorstep.

Those in New York City, San Francisco and Seattle can use the Uber app to request 15 minutes of kitten playtime for $20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. All proceeds will go to three participating shelters — ASPCASan Francisco SPCA and Seattle Humane Society — depending on your location.

And, if you fall in love with your kitty, you can inquire about adoption with a shelter representative that will ride with each kitten in the Uber cars.

Cheezburger is the brains behind the funny “I Can Has Cheezburger” blog, which features memes of cats and other animals like the image to the right. The company cut 35 percent of its staff this past April as it transitions from desktop to mobile.

Are you seriously hating on somebody who is part of delivering kittens and donating to the Seattle Humane Society? Do you hate Santa, because he has no regard for his health, breaks into people’s houses, and has no apparent business model as well? #kittens

Ben Huh is a fraud and doesn’t have a charitable bone in his body. Just a PR stunt. Notice this comes five months after hiring new execs for PR and Marketing. FRAUD

I’m pretty sure Ben would call this a PR stunt as well. But here’s the thing: You can choose to do a PR stunt that involves a charity or you can choose to exclude a charity from your PR stunt. Ben and Cheez chose to include a charity.

It would seem to me that at least some of the bones in his body are charitable.
