headerSure enough, as the chilly winds of fall start blowing in, Pacific Northwesterners leave their rooftop parties and outdoor picnics and start moving indoors for warmer surroundings. We also find events becoming increasingly content-driven as the “back to school” feeling takes hold. Here’s some events, both educational and of lighter fare to help you ease in to fall.

JOYstick_11x17_bleedJOYStick! Level 2: I had the great pleasure of attending the last JOYstick (Level 1, I guess) and I even wrote about it here. If you’re a fan of burlesque or a fan of video games or maybe you’re a fan of both, you should DEFINITELY go to this super fun event.

When: Friday, September 20th, 8:00 pm.

Robothon: This sounds AWESOME! Come hang with robots and the people who make them at this event showcasing the current tech in robotics. Robot competitions and activities?! I wonder if there’ll be a robot dance off?!

When: Saturday, September 21st, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Bootstrap Week: Starting Monday and going into next week, you can sign up for mulitple, live online courses to help you with the latest tech or get you through some particarly tricky coding. Check out the courses to see if one’s right for you.

When: Monday, September 23rd – 26th. Class times vary.

TechNW North to InnovationTechNW is a meeting of the regions best and brightest in business development and strategic networking. This three part event series will feature two panels, bring your notebook!

When: Wednesday, September 25th, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

decibel-2013Decibel Festival: Decibel fest is an electronic music festival spanning several days and venues. This is a great opportunity to catch some interesting and less well known artists. Get a pass or just catch a few shows.

When: Wednesday, September 25th – 29th. Show times vary.

CENTRAL&LAKE – Celebrating the Eastside & Our Local Entrepreneurs: Great event for Kirkland entrepreneurs. Show up, drink some coffee and meet your neighbors.

When: Wednesday, September 25th, 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
