Bing is beefing up its search results.

Today the search engine announced new additions to its Snapshot feature, which now includes LinkedIn information for people results.

Last June, Bing introduced Snapshot, a sidebar that provided extra information like photos and related content for movie, restaurant and hotel reviews. It expanded in December to include more about people and places.

Today’s update adds even more details extracted from publicly available information on social media channels and Wikipedia.

As you can see above, the Snapshot for “Bill Gates,” now includes his official Facebook, Twitter and Klout pages. When searching for professionals, LinkedIn information like past work and education will appear, as you can see to the right.

Bing has also added support for specific questions, like, “What is the highest mountain in the world?” Google has a similar mechanism.

Back in January, Bing added Facebook information to the sidebar.
