Back in October, Amazon debuted its Amazon Smile program that allows customers to donate 0.5 percent of the price of eligible purchases to a charity of the buyer’s choice.

Now, for a limited time, Amazon is extending that offer to all Kindle Fire HDX purchases, with $20 going one of nearly a million organizations in the U.S.

Normally, purchasing a 7″ Kindle Fire HDX through Amazon Smile would let you donate $1.15 to charity (0.5 percent of $229), so this is certainly a step up.

The offer, which lasts until Sunday, is good for both the 7″ and 8.9″ tablets, as well as any storage size or connectivity options.

Amazon had discounted the 7″ Fire HDX by $50 for Cyber Monday, but is now selling the tablet for $229 again.
