kindlefirehd123From now until June 8, Amazon is discounting its Kindle Fire HD tablets by $20 for a Father’s Day sale.

You can get $20 off the 7-inch Kindle Fire HD ($199), the Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ ($269), or the Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ 4G ($399) by entering in the code “DADSFIRE” at checkout.

That’s the price of the tablets with the “special offers” and “sponsored screensavers” that come up on the lock screen when the Kindle’s are idle. You need to pay an extra $15 to get rid of them.

Amazon announced two weeks ago that it will ship both its 7-inch and 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD tablets to 170 countries around the globe starting June 13. The Kindle was previously available in the U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Japan.

CEO Jeff Bezos spoke about that company’s tablet at the annual shareholders’ meeting last week.

“We see these devices as a service,” he said at the meeting. “The hardware itself is a premium product at non-premium prices, but what really delights customers is what they can do with those devices, and that’s the ecosystem.”
