Netflix may have scored Kevin Spacey for its new political drama House of Cards. But Amazon.com, which is making its own heavy push into original content, has landed its own star.
TechCrunch reports that actor John Goodman will star in the upcoming comedy Amazon series, Alpha House. The show, which is written by Pulitzer-Prize winner Garry Trudeau, is currently in production, according to Amazon’s Web site.
Goodman is well known for his roles on the TV show Roseanne, as well as starring in films from the Coen brothers, like the The Big Lebowski and Barton Fink.
