amazon-cloudplayerGood news for Ford and iPhone owners wanting to blast their tunes with Amazon’s Cloud Player: Amazon’s streaming music service updated its iOS app today to allow iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad devices to play music in Ford Sync AppLink-enabled vehicles.

Last February, Amazon is brought its Cloud Player music service to vehicles equipped with Ford Sync AppLink, including new Mustangs, Fusions and F-150s. Since then, only Android owners could use the Cloud Player to connect their app to Ford Sync, pulling up their entire music collection.

Now, drivers can access the Cloud Player via the Amazon MP3 iOS app and wirelessly enjoy their music in Ford vehicles. Users can also enable voice recognition or dashboard controls, meaning you don’t need to touch your iOS device once enabling the service.

Amazon joins a number of other music services that are already available via Ford Sync, including Pandora, Slacker, MOG and Seattle-based Rhapsody.
