TechStars Seattle is kicking off their latest class of companies, hoping to churn out the next great startup. This year, the tech incubator accepted 11 companies, rather than the customary 10.

TechStars received more than 600 applications this year, up slightly from last year. About half of the companies are from Washington state, with one company coming from overseas.

Here’s a look at this year’s class:

codementorCodementor: Instant 1:1 mentoring for programming and design.

Designlab: Designlab is the “Codecademy for design” teaching design skills through interactive lessons and hands-on projects that students can complete in the browser.

Everpath: Everpath helps you learn technology skills online. We make it easy to discover online courses that suit your experience, goals, and learning style.

InsideSocial: Enables brands and publishers to measure and increase the direct impact that social sharing has on the metrics that really matter.

opinrOpinr: Opinr is a social news platform for enterprises which auto curates relevant content from a shared news feed. Opinr includes forums and tools that enable users to build connections and reputation in the industry.

Cuecard: Pansieve Inc, produces Cuecard who brings together the power of mobile devices and web services to gather data on customized digital forms.

Qhode: Qhode offers Continuous Integration (CI) as a service, simplifying the process of building and testing software from version control systems like GitHub. It supports multiple languages and platforms with integrated code quality tools and real time notifications. (Editor’s note: Founder Avi Cavale was the champion of GeekWire’s 2013 ping pong tournament).

Rep: Rep is a public communication client with conversations to organize messages and markup to control who gets to see what.

ResolutionTube: ResolutionTube is a mobile augmented reality platform that makes B2B customer service more interactive, intelligent and effective.

Wire: Making messaging fun.

Flick.me: Mobile social networking reinvented. Combining the best parts of mobile messaging and social networking.

As in the past, GeekWire will be tracking this year’s class, leading up to the final presentations at Demo Day on October 24th.
