Yahoo and Zillow are expanding their long-running online real estate partnership to include rental properties. As part of the deal, Zillow now provides more than 400,000 rental listings to Yahoo Homes.

“Zillow is now able to give landlords, property managers and rental brokers significantly more exposure for their listings by extending their reach to one of the largest audiences of renters online,” said Zillow CEO Spencer Rascoff in a statement.

Zillow is the exclusive provider of for-sale and rental properties on Yahoo. It also marks a significant bet by Zillow on the rental market, following its $40 million acquisition of RentJuice last month and the recent launch of an Android app just for rentals.

Zillow takes over for Apartments.com, which previously provided the rental listings to Yahoo. Zillow, which went public last summer and now boasts a market value of more than $1 billion, has been working with Yahoo since 2006 and extended its for-sale listing partnership with the company in April.
