A few weeks ago, we told you about Yabbly, a new Seattle startup that’s led by former Amazon.com and Off & Away software engineer Ian Shafer and former Marchex and Google manager Tom Leung.

Now, Yabbly is back in the news, having raised an additional $300,000 in financing from former Facebook General Counsel Rudy Gadre and others. Total financing now stands at $800,000.

Yabbly allows users to connect with other people who’ve made similar buying decisions — say purchasing a Ford Escape or Sonicare toothbrush or iPhone 5.

The company also just announced a new iPhone app that gives instant access to real-time feedback and advice on shopping decisions.

“Yabbly is redefining how people shop,” said Leung. “What people want before they pull the trigger is an honest opinion and authentic discussion with somebody who has first-hand experience. Yabbly creates a space where members are motivated to help each other find the perfect product.”

Yabbly’s investors include former Immunex CEO Ed Fritzky; Acxiom Chief Product Officer Phil Mui; and angel investors from Google and Amazon.com.
