The most dedicated Xbox Live members are in for a treat this holiday season.
Microsoft’s Larry Hyrb, also known as Major Nelson, announced via his Twitter yesterday that the company has built another custom-designed Xbox 360 console to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Xbox Live.
Users who have been on Live for the longest will be receiving the new dark-grey version that you see to the right.

According to IGN, the consoles were created for special promotion and will not be sold at retail locations. The console’s logo in the bottom corner of the left side has a “Xbox Live: A Decade of Entertainment” logo with imagery from the original Xbox, Kinect and more from Xbox’s history.
Numbers out last week from the NPD Group research firm showed Microsoft selling 270,000 Xbox 360 units in October, which topped Sony’s PS3 and Nintendo’s Wii yet again. That’s 22 consecutive months as the top-selling console.
