Washington FIRST Robotics is holding its annual regional competition at the Century Link Events Center in Seattle today and Saturday, and we got a chance to stop by the event yesterday afternoon to talk to the students in the pits and check out some of the practice rounds.

Here are some of the video highlights from our visit, including a conversation with the organization’s leader, Kevin Ross, one of our GeekWire Geeks Who Give Back.

The event is free and open to the public, and you can check out the schedule here.

As geeky as that was, I couldn’t look away. Those high-schoolers are getting a solid head start. Solid work by Kevin Ross ;-)
