It wasn’t the finals of American Idol, but the karaoke session at our Fall Meetup Tuesday evening sure seemed like it.

More than 200 people from the Seattle community enjoyed drinks, networking and elevator pitches at the Crocodile Cafe in downtown Seattle, but the karaoke might be what we remembered most.

And not just because of the incredible renditions of Tina Turner’s Proud Mary and Heart’s Alone. People were able to bid on local tech celebs — including GeekWire’s own John Cook and Jonathan Sposato — to belt out songs and we raised $1,600 for local nonprofit Year Up Puget Sound.

Great people, great voices and donating to a great cause — couldn’t ask for much more. Check out the karaoke highlights above.
