After three months of hard work in startup bootcamp, the ten TechStars Seattle companies will present their business ideas this Thursday at Demo Day.

But it won’t end there. For the second time in the past three years, TechStars will be sending the founders south to San Francisco to meet with investors there and help close investing rounds.

“We think it’s a great idea because it gives the teams exposure to the investors that didn’t get a chance to come up to Seattle for Demo Day,” said Linsey Battan of TechStars.  “It raises the profiles of Seattle tech companies and the overall tech scene, creating a bridge between Seattle and San Francisco.”

The founders will fly to San Fran and meet the morning of Thursday, November 8th at Twilio’s headquarters in downtown San Francisco and for happy hour later in the day.

“I think it’s a great idea for the companies since the Bay Area is the hub for all things tech,” said Andrew First, co-founder of Leanplum. “No matter where you’re building your company, it’s good to have contacts in different cities, because each location brings a different perspective. And this is the power of having the TechStars network be in several cities in the U.S.”

Demo Day in Seattle kicks off at 2 p.m. this Thursday, November 1st at Showbox Sodo followed by a Casino Night after party.
