Updated below with answer and winners …

We’re back with another installment of our Name that Tech Tune challenge — the first of the 2012! — with one last chance to win a coveted GeekWire 2012 Calendar. (Most of them have been gobbled up.)

Here’s the question: Can you identify the video game associated with this theme song? If so, send your entry to contest@geekwire.com.

Stumped? John gave a great clue during the Name that Tech Tune segment on this week’s GeekWire radio show and podcast, saying that it accompanies a legacy game from the Seattle area, which combines two of the region’s big industries. I’d also point out that some would dispute us calling it a game, saying that it’s actually more than that. Here’s the full segment for more context.

Once again, if you know the answer, send your entry to contest@geekwire.com. From the pool of correct answers, we’ll pick two people at random to win a calendar.

Name that Tech Tune is a regular feature of the GeekWire radio show and podcast, airing at 7 a.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday on 97.3 KIRO-FM in Seattle, and available Saturday on GeekWire.com.

By the way, the answer to our previous Name that Tech Tune challenge was Carrie Fisher singing the “Life Day” anthem from the Star Wars Holiday Special in 1978. We’ve updated that earlier post with the video and the winners. Thanks for playing everybody!

Update 1/14: The answer, as many of you knew, was Flight Simulator X. Congrats to our winners, Karl Leigh and Rob Thurston.
