Schimke

Zumobi, a maker of mobile applications for companies such as MSNBC, Motor Trend and others, has named Marla Schimke as vice president of marketing. Schimke previously worked at AudienceScience, Microsoft and Ernst & Young, and in her new role will help the Seattle company launch new advertising products and premium media properties.

“We’re absolutely delighted to have Marla join the Zumobi team.  Her deep digital advertising experience and proven track record in building digital media brands will be invaluable to us as we enter our nextstage of growth,” said Ken Willner, CEO of Zumobi.

The executive lineup at Motricity, the struggling maker of mobile software, continues to evolve after the company announced layoffs last week. The Bellevue company just named Richard Stalzer as president of mobile marketing and advertising where he’ll oversee the company’s sales, advertising operations, ad network, product and technology direction. Stalzer previously served as chief operating officer of Education Dynamics, and before that served as president of advertising solutions at InterActive Corporation.

Ron Risdon, the former president of Lagotek, a Bellevue maker of home automation technology, is now serving as president of Buy Washington Corporation. The company is devoted to selling specialty products from Washington state, including craft distillers,  wineries, jewelers and others.

Wibe Wagemans has joined Big Fish Games as vice president and general manager of mobile. Full report here.
